Ms. Sherrod has been in the field of Human Services for over a decade. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Services Education from Pennsylvania State University. She then began working at an outpatient substance abuse program.  After that leaving that program she worked at a psychiatric rehabilitation program for three years. She provided behavior modification, crisis intervention, advocacy and an array of therapeutic services to children and families

Samara Stone is a licensed clinical social worker and founder of The Stone Foundation. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Hampton University, a historically black college and university (HBCU), and later received a Masters in Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore.  Ms. Stone has years of clinical experience serving individuals, families, couples, professionals and organizations.

Ms. Stone's commitment and versatile ability as a trainer, presenter, consultant, guest speaker and facilitator has allowed her to impact the community from a broader perspective.  Ms. Stone consistently supports the development of the mental health industry by providing clinical supervision and mentoring as well as sponsoring continuing education programs for mental health professionals.  Ms. Stone is well-known for her warm, caring and encouraging spirit and non-judgment approach. 

Ms. Stone founded The Stone Foundation in January 2005 with the mission of providing a broad continuum of services encompassing mental health and wellness.  Services include outpatient mental health (clinical and psychiatry) and a wide array professional development programs and services.  All the products and services of The Stone Foundation embody a spirit of compassion and excellence and the staff are known for their interpersonally savvy professionalism and a passion for consistently promoting the well being of those touched by The Stone Foundation’s products and services.
