Zoe Travers brings to The Stone Foundation, a unique blend of sensory and talk therapy with care directed towards helping clients gain insight on multiple levels through an approach based in mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapies. She has experience working with adults and at risk teens and their families within a variety of environments doing individual, group and family therapy.
Providing a safe and compassionate environment to help manage somatic/psychosomatic disorders, stress, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders, she believes in a very client centered practice based in kindness and empowerment.
With an established personal practice in mindfulness and insight meditation, her approach to clinical work is rooted in focusing on getting to core beliefs through the body’s individual experience and the ability to approach trauma and stress as it is stored physiologically in the body. Mrs. Travers believes that we are each always the experts of ourselves and that she is merely an experienced guide to serve the individual based on their own goals as their processes unfurl. Using nonviolent communication, resourcing and a noninvasive and compassionate approach she gently assists each person to focus on their individual experience, working collaboratively to unveil their ability to discover and meet their needs through gaining insight and quieting the mind. A belief in each person’s inherent ability to heal themselves and to find happiness and peace in the everyday strongly guides her work.
Zoe has experience with diverse client populations ranging from young adults to families and groups. She is well-versed in:
- Dysfunctional family dynamics
- Somatic/Psychosomatic disorders
- At risk Teens
