Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
Master of Education in Counseling and Development - George Mason University
Shannon is a warm and compassionate therapist whose approach is to help clients do the necessary work for living their best lives. She enjoys working from a strengths-based and goal-oriented perspective, helping clients to build upon their natural gifts while providing constructive tools for coping with present and future challenges. Shannon’s communication style is both warm and direct, asking clients thoughtful questions that encourage meaningful self-reflection.
Shannon does her best work when working with clients who are navigating life transitions (e.g., relationships, marriage, friendships, breakups, career changes, purpose seeking, moves), as well as clients who feel they are currently “stuck” in their ability to manage mental health with life’s demands (e.g., family, social life, career, spirituality, physical health, relationships). She encourages clients to explore cognitive and behavioral patterns of the past to make room for constructive and fulfilling patterns for the future. Shannon works with adult individuals, couples, millennials, and adolescents.
Shannon earned a Master of Education in Counseling and Development from George Mason University and a Post Masters Certificate in Professional Counseling with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy from Grand Canyon University. She is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC).
