Licensed Master Social Worker
Masters in Social Work - University of Maryland
Jessica Daniel came to the Stone Foundation with a wide base of clinical and practical experience in helping adults and children with their social and emotional needs.
She began her professional journey within a health system where she was a strong contributing team member working with children and teens navigate their educational settings while prioritizing their mental health needs. Students were supported and lead to academic improvement and a new sense of confidence in their abilities after learning new tools to navigate their world. With her continued desire for learning about mental health, Jessica graduated from at McDaniel College with her Bachelors of Social Work. She continued her professional development by pursuing and attaining her Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work with a concentration in families and children.
Over the years, she has continued to reach out and help individuals and families with various needs. She says, “I believe in a person-centered approach to treatment. Each individual I work with is the expert on themselves but needs some additional guidance regarding the presenting issue. I enjoy guiding and processing with those who are having difficulties navigating relationships, whether romantic, friendships, professional, or academic.”
The culmination of her experiences and education has taught her that there is more than one path to a happier and healthier life. She will work together with her clients to create a personalized plan to meet needs in a safe and compassionate environment. Life is complicated
and difficult at times, but dealing with it does not need to be a solo endeavor.
Guiding clients through processing and healing from painful and or traumatic events is her strong suit as well as having considerable experience in managing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and ADHD. Whatever your background may be, you will be treated with patience, compassion, sensitivity and an open mind.
